{"id":12136,"date":"2021-03-27T10:16:42","date_gmt":"2021-03-27T10:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.webhubglobal.com\/experential\/?p=12136"},"modified":"2021-06-03T12:39:55","modified_gmt":"2021-06-03T04:39:55","slug":"would-you-want-your-dentist-to-just-wing-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev2.webhubglobal.com\/experential\/would-you-want-your-dentist-to-just-wing-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Would You Want Your Dentist To \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Just Wing It\u00e2\u20ac\u009d?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>It is crucial to prepare for presentations instead of winging it as difficult questions are expected, especially from a C-level audience.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation is essential to a successful presentation!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whether I address a group of sales executives during an in-house training or a C \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Suite coaching client, somewhere during the conversation, I ask, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153When it comes to preparing for your presentation to stakeholders, clients, the management or the Board of Directors, how often do you practice before the presentation?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Before they have a chance to respond, I immediately follow up by asking, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153How many of you practice at least four times\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.Three times, \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.2 times or at least once?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Usually, by the time I get to one time, a few hands will go up, but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a small fraction of the people in the room. Remember that your position, your reputation or company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s business is on the line, and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re just wingin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 it? That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a lot to be riding on for you just to show up and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153do your thing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Would you want your dentist to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153just wing it\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on your next appointment, or do you want to know that he or she is fully prepared by reviewing your x-rays in advance, formulated a plan of action and knows how to execute that plan?<\/em><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Executive Presence<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>For an executive moving up the corporate ladder, perhaps you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve reached a point in your career where you can no longer \u00e2\u20ac\u0153just wing it\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.
